New Camaro R/C: HPI's Sprint 2 Sport Drift with 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Body

HPI Racing is bringing out a Hobby Grade 2010 Camaro RC (1/10th scale) as part of their Drift Series R/C cars. For those not familiar with Hobby Grade R/C vehicles HPI Racing produces some of the best kits around.

Sprint 2 Sport Drift with 2010 Chevrolet Camaro Body
The Drift version of the Sprint 2 Sport gets a refresh as well, with the muscular 2010 Chevrolet Camaro topping the chassis for an all-new look! This is sure to get the sideways crowd in a frenzy, as the modern American muscle car has been making big strides in this traditionally Asian motorsport!

The Sprint 2 Sport kits feature a fully-built chassis, pre-glued tyres, painted bodyshell, fitted electronics and radio, you just need to choose a battery and charger from your model shop.

Just the kit will be around $300. But that won't include batteries for the car or the transmitter.

But the body by itself will be around $35, plus the cost of paint.

But as always with hobby grade R/C products there are a ton of hop ups that you will buy! They are a money pit. But so much fun.

You could go Nitro:

http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/10053/

or Electric:

http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/100422/

Then just buy the body when it comes out. Nitro is cooler. The sound and the smell are awesome but electric are as fast now (especially with brushless motors) bit the initial start up cost of electric is more. The batteries are crazy spendy.

When you see how much some of this stuff is you're probably better off just dumping the cash in your real Camaro.
