Jannetty Racing Reveiws New Stainless Power Headers

I wanted to get a set in here to look at and hold and compare side by side with the Stainless Works Header.

I have to say, I am impressed It is pretty hard to tell them apart.

Other than the Flange holes being Oval vs round and the 2 piece collector they look and feel Identical.

Good Job Stainlessworks at providing a Cost conscious Option.

See if you can pick out which one is which.

All new bolts, Aluminum RTV, and O2 extensions are provided.

Im going to guess and say Stainless steel works on the right.. Though the 2 headers look exactly the same

The performance should be identical. It's a good design and 304 stainless but I would assume its a cheaper foreign steel. Their American made headers should still be superior in that aspect.

They are identical except for the flanges Ted mentioned. Stainless Works is having the Stainless Power headers manufactured in Asia to fight off the cheap rip offs that are being made there. That way customers can have the same header at a lower price. I guess you could say they are knocking off their own headers.

Lets face it.... if it was not for the money, we would all be driving Lambo's, Porche's, Ferrari's, etc..... and not Camaro's!!!!

Love to buy American, but like everything else (due to the continuing separation of financial classes), still look for the best deal on "somewhat" similar products that work!

Especially for my Camaro. Glad to see some vendors are getting it.......... instead of b!tching about cheap knock offs.

Yelp, you can keep the Chinese Steel

that is what is wrong with this country to begin with

anyone who thinks they are the same, has never worked around Chinese Steel, I work on it or around it all day, almost every day...

and no it doesn't make me happy to see a company have a building constructed using materials they had shipped over here from China when there is a plant producing American Steel less than 500 miles away(instead of the several thousand mile trip their steel goes on) but I have to earn a living

1 7/8. This is funny, an american company knocking off their own header and sourcing them from overseas..lol. Buying these would be no different than the obx, dna motoring, tsp etc. They would be a great buy no doubt, just funny to see an american company who is building a high dollar header source out to build a cheaper header that will basically perform the same.

This is bigger than a SW issue. I too was shocked when I saw these and did some research but it's just another product line going overseas. My take is SW like almost every other American manufacturer is trying to compete. At least they offer an alternative unlike the rest of the product manufacturers. How can anyone pick on SW when a majority of the commonities we buy these days are made in China. I'm not trying to support or defend SW but this is an American issue. We can't compete anymore for a variety of reasons and none of them bode well for the future of manufactures, workers, and all Americans. American manufactures have little chance to compete primarily because of wages and regulation. I see SW just trying to adapt.
