So here are the results!

Stainless Works/Power cats: Random Technology out of Loganville, Ga.
Pfadt cats: manufactured in house Corona, Ca.
Kooks cats: GESi in Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
ARH: stated they are outsourced to a company in Texas but did not want us to specifically name the company

If you are looking for headers and cats that are true 100% verifiably made in the USA then Stainless Works, ARH, and Pfadt are your brands.

Got it....your beef is that kooks and others are overpriced and their selling point of made in USA is incorrect because the cats (which are an option) are not exclusive to USA only parts.

I do wonder if your phone call was a miscommunication with kooks though as they could have said made in America and they are 100% correct if they did say that because that includes a whole hell of a lot of countries from South, central and North America; however, it's your story and I'm just speculating so my apologies for digressing. My view after APEX post above is that ARH seems pretty shady and borderline arrogant as they won't even tell a vendor who makes thiers and that is an opinion based on my own dealings with them...I'll never buy from that company again (once more, my opinion)

I don't disagree with your logic but I'm not 100% on board with you either.

Update on the ARH cats: They called and informed us that the cats are manufactured by a company in Texas but asked us to not name the company. They did provide the name of the company to me and I have verified them but they view it as proprietary information.

Thanks for the information. I'm glad to hear they followed up.

No problem Bro… no offense taken. But I did ask specifically about the Cats because that's what my post was really about. But it is good to know that ARH called back.

I'm very happy with my Stainless works 1⅞ headers with cats. Sound great and after installing it feels like a restriction was removed. It's hard to put into words but the way the car accelerates now it feels like a wind restriction was removed, it doesn't feel like a struggle to accelerate. Can't wait for the tune to fully realize the gains.

That is Apex Amanda. She was Miss Kentucky USA a couple years ago and Miss Coors Lite for NASCAR last season.

Question... Are Stainless Works & Stainless Power Headers manufactured to use the OEM exhaust gaskets? I noticed on their website that they don't mention gaskets in their kits; instead, they mention silicone?

Rather than including gaskets they include silicon. We do not use it and recommend reusing your stock gaskets or picking up a new set.

I wouldn't put any RTV in place of a gasket, it's guaranteed to leak. I used new factory gaskets and have no issues. They were $20 and I've never seen one fail.
