Back-ordered Michelin Pilot Super Sports
I ordered Michelin pilot super sports 8 weeks ago and still no word on availability. Is there anyone else waiting?

I gave up... Almost pulled the trigger on a set of Sport Cup 2s, as my dad runs them on his car. Decided they weren't worth the $3,200 CDN. Try Pilot Sport PS2s. 30k km warranty (18,000 miles), a touch more agressive than the Super Sport, but terrific ride comfort and maneurisms. I drove my Z 1000 miles immediately after installing them (no joke, it was 1,900 kms) and they were a dream. They keep bumping up the availability for the super sports, so i really wouldn't hold your breath... |

Been on back order for almost 3.5 months for me. Still waiting. I'm waiting till I completely hit my treadwears. If they don't show by then I'll have to grab a set of goodyears again I think.
Stupid that Michelin wouldn't have summer tires available in the summer. Who runs a business like that ?

A few months ago I was told it was 6-9 month back order. I wound up going in another direction. What are you going to do if you to replace one of them?

Bridgestone RE11 & Michelin PS2 seem like good choices. Have you guys checked ebay for the Pilot Super Sports?

If I don't hear from Discount Tire within about two weeks (not holding my breath), I am going to pull the trigger on some Toyo Proxes 1's.

Had a guy call Michelin directly and they are supposed to go back into production the last part of July.

Happened to me, nail in the side wall. Had to put a Toyo on. It was the closest to the size. Sucks.
