Keyfob removal question
I’m new here and hope I’m not doing anything wrong. My question is I have a keyfob I want removed from my cars memory, if I use the lost all key fobs relearn way of doing it, do the key fobs all have to be unlocked again or will it just relearn them since they are already issued to my car? And will my car only show the amount of keyfob I relearn to the car? Right now it has four programmed to it, if I register them all will it go back to just three?

Grave digging sorta. Do you have any updates on this? As far as I was concerned, once a chipset/transponder had been programmed, I wasn’t sure if there was a way to un-program it, unless you had the dealership and their specific programmer(?) delete/remove the programmed keys (if that’s even a thing they do).
I had so many spare keys, as well as the prior multiple owners who lost all their keys constantly, I guess… lol I’m at like my 8th or 9th key, and supposedly NEW keys will register and possibly over-write the older keys in order, from first to last. If anyone knows more, please chime in! |
