If I remember correctly the Camaro uses a different windshield for the HUD vehicles and I had some shadowing after the install. Looks good! |

That one is the Uniden R6 w/ the Escort M1 dash cam. I used the suction cup mount in the Camaro and it holds very well. I have a R7 in my daily driver and they're fantastic units. Where I'm at no agency uses K band, so I don't have to worry about picking up fake signals from other car BLIS units. Ka only unless I'm traveling.

Went to pull the axles to replace the axle seals on the diff and put in my new rear struts. Axle nut was seized on. Tried removing with a big breaker bar. Then used a big pipe to get more leverage, even standing on the pipe it wouldn't break free. My dewalt impact driver did no good to get it off. Used a torch with map gas to try and heat it up and break it free, no luck.
Went out and bought a proper dewalt impact wrench (20V MAX XR) and that sucker came right off. Amazing what a proper impact wrench can do. Will try to tackle the rest of the job tomorrow.

Some Moroso stainless steel engine bay bling. Fuse box cover, brake booster cover, and ABS module cover. Had to cut a hole in the abs cover so the tower brace would fit.

Oh man I know what you mean about that axle nut. Took me a long time and several methods to get it off. I ended up having to make a small cut in it. I believe the torque spec is 199 lb.ft.

Question to all you pro DIYers. Is there a way to mprove the lumination onmy car from headlights? The car has lowering springs and stance is a little front forward. Have replaced HID bulbs Have tired super LED bulbs. Car has running lights not fog lights. Is ther a good fix to get equivalent to a c6 Headlight. I am overdriving my lights all the time.? What are your thoughts?

Replaced driver side rear strut with a new B6 and also replaced the axle seal.
The lower coil spring insulator (GM PN: 92232063) was completely worn. But apparently GM discontinued them, like they’ve done with so many parts on this platform. So I cleaned it up and rotated it when I put it back together. Gonna do passenger side rear this weekend.

Finally buttoned up the rear end suspension.
Installed Bilstein B6's in the rear. Disassembled some suspension pieces and cleaned up and painted and re-torqued them. While I was doing that I also pulled both rear axles and gave them a once over, sanded and painted them. Replaced the axle seals on the diff. That was a pain in the ass - needed to get a seal driver rental tool from auto zone to punch the new seals in. AND drained and replaced the rear diff fluid. Magnets looked good. No flake or glimmer in the old fluid either. Feeling much better about the half mile events that start up next month now. Just need to get an alignment between now and then because my steering wheel is definitely skewed some now..
