Anyone know what this piece is called and how to remove it?
GM calls it the Driver Side Door Mirror Applique. Try googling that mouth full and find instructions…lol

If it is what I think it is, it's the plastic trim piece that holds the top of the rubber window front slider. Held on by three T25(?) screws that are behind the tweeter. If I remember right kept them from the donor camaro and put them in the parts bin.

Yea. When mine was in the paint shop I saw it with these off. It comes off from the inside, have to remove the door panel to get access.
