Engine running cold?

I have a 2014 SS 1LE. For some reason the temp gauge shows the engine running slightly cool when the cars warmed up. Been like that since I got it, I asked the guys at the dealership about it when I got my first oil change and they said they would look into it but didnt say anything about it when I picked it up.

Wondering if anyone has any ideas or if this is just normal, temp gauge doesnt go past this point even under spirited driving for long periods

Should be able to read actual ECT from DIC.
Mine gauge sits like that but is running anywhere from 190 to 210.

Same here, gauge does not reflect actual temp, glad is has a readout in DIC.

My Silverado does the same thing, the gauge reads extremely cold from just after start-up until 179F, then it leaps to normal operating temp. Must be a GM thing.

Yup, my gage is always to the left of center, whether the DIC says 189-192 (normal) or over 210 (multiple runs down drag strip).

185-220 on the DIC and the gauge is always in the same position as yours. Its normal.

Do not rely on the analog gauge. The digital readout in the DIC is much more accurate. In cooler temperatures (depending on traffic conditions) you may not get over 190.
