I've found an amazing E-cigarette that completely satisfies me. As a result, I no longer stink. My teeth are whiter; my breath isn't ashtray-esque. I can work out longer, run faster, climb stairs more easily. My car is smoke-free (now I just have to replace the headlinder where it got burned ) Moral of the story is.... anyone can quit! It just takes willpower... and for me... these Vapor4Life E-cigs!

I'm still quit since Jan 1. Chewing the nicotine gum when I feel an urge but that's getting better. I just concentrate on the positive side to this fight, my health.

You most definitely have y2k! Thankyou for sharing your story with us and it's helping motivate me!

According to my I quit app on my iPhone it's been 2 weeks, 23 hours and 24 minutes and I have saved about $112.00 Canadian!

I've been using the patch, and I take it off to sleep. When I wake up I put on the patch and have a bowl of cheerios with more sugar than I probably should be having but it helps give me a boost that I thought I was getting when I went for a smoke instead. It's working so far and every payday I put the money I've saved in a savings account. It should be paying my payment but let's be honest if this didn't work I'd still be smoking and paying for the car anyways. So after a year, who knows, maybe take my family on a trip or finish my 84 Monte rebuild.

y2k king, 6 miles, that's gotta be a big relief.
I'm still quit since Jan 1. I till chew a few pieces of nicotine gum but I'm not going nuts like in the beginning.

update. just got results from ct scan on monday. cancer hasn't spread
anywhere else and tumor hasn't grown any since last scan.
so the weekly chemo sessions seem to be working and will be with me for the duration now.
doc is planning to mix up a different chemo now to see if he can reduce the tumor next.
thanks for all your support guys and gals!!!

I stopped smoking a week before I got my Camaro, so I haven't had a smoke for seven weeks (as of today). I'm happy to say that it hasn't been terribly difficult. After smoking for the better part of 40 years I'm pretty happy about it so far. I had stopped twice before, once for 2-1/2 years and once for 4, so I know how easy it is to start again. Gotta be strong - my sweetheart is very supportive.
