Anyone else think this is acceptable quality for an IOM Stripe

Bestwheeldeals does and they have accused me of being picky. These wheel and tires are less than a month old an have 600 miles on them. They have been washed with a Lambs Mitt and gold class car-wash:

I've heard nothing but bad stuff about them lately. That's ridiculous.

crappy crap IMHO...I would send them back or get some money back to have it done correctly. It doesnt look like it was prepped well or even at all to chip off entirely like that. My 5 yr old son could have done better with a sharpie.

I have been trying to resolve these issues with them but am constantly told that I am being too picky. These are the least of the issues. I am dealing with out of round wheels, defective finish, all 4 wheel were out of balance by .50 ounce or more and incorrect hub rings and lugs being shipped. I have really tried to work with them to resolve the issues. They offered me 2 options a few weeks ago to try a new set of rings of return the wheels. I was already invested to the tune of few 200.00 plus dollars in labor and balancing fees so I decided to try the rings. Once that failed I asked to return the wheel and was told I was out of luck that the offer was only good on that day. Bestwheels did offer to replace one of my wheels which is showing excessive run-out but would not paint the IOM stripe.

To fix this wheel and tire setup I am looking at $300.00 to powder-coat the wheels to fix the finish + $160 to re-paint the IOM stripes. This is in addition to the $200.00 dollars I have already spent chasing down the vibration, machining rings to fit and road forcing all 4 wheels. In addition I am now having to pay the mounting and dismounting/balancing charges to replace the tire on the defective rear wheel.

So that $2000.00 wheel & tire package is now close to 3K to fix someone elses mistake. At this point I would really like to return the entire tire and wheel setup for a full-refund. But I have been told that is not an option. So I am willing to settle for reimbursement for all of my out of pocket.

Lessen learned save your coin and buy a quality wheel and tire setup.

Do youself a favor and choose a quality vendor who will stand by the products they sell. If I had it to do all over again I would have bought a set of Forgestar Wheel from Nineball.

The mark of a good vendor is someone who will support the customer when issues arise. Choose wisely!
