Exhaust Leak?

Hello everyone, so I noticed a major ticking sound coming from the left side exhaust header. I took some videos and I've narrowed it down to a possible valve adjustment needed or an exhaust Leak. I also noticed a bolt missing from the rear of the exhaust header.

I posted these videos on Vimeo so don't worry the links are legit lol..

But here's the thing. The exhaust header bolt has been missing for some time and all of a sudden a few weeks ago it started to sound the way it does.

Im sure that area is going to be weak. Eventually its going to blow by the gasket. Order up a new factory gasket and bolt.....get that fixed.

Replacing missing bolt, and gasket if damaged - then report back! Those header flanges can be pretty stout and hold even without the bolt for a while, but eventually they'll start leaking.

Which one is it? Some of these you could maybe get onto with a pair of needle nose vice grips cranked up nice and tight. Some times you can take a dremel and cut the head into a square to get a better bite on.

It's located at the rear of the passengers side.. it's the hardest one to get too. I was thinking of welding a nut on the end and trying to remove it with a socket wrench that way...what you think? Your idea isn't bad either but the location might make it hard.

connect a scanner and check your long term fuel trim. since the leak is before you will see a difference between the banks. it could be one of them adding fuen and one removing.

a elicoil is just a new thread . you have to drill a bigger hole, and then using the elicoil you can get a new thread. since the position is ungodly you should have the job done by a professional

Ahhh, so the bolt broke off. When you said stripped I thought you meant the bolt was gone and threads were stripped.
Helicoil is a way to replace the threads. Drill it, tap it and recoil.
Good luck.
