Like any good company, they'll follow the market. The question is will they use the 2.0, strengthen and add a turbo to the 2.5, or develop another displacement I4 to use?

5.0s have the same thing though. Once you are modding comparing stuff just goes out the window. A tune on a current 5.0 is a solid 30hp. Probably the same or more on the new one.

I think Ford is sandbagging on the tune until gen 6 Camaro. I bet we see GT350 hit and power increases across the board right before or after chevy launches gen 6.

The 2017 Mustang will have a big HP boost to deal with the Gen 6 Camaro. Both cars will hit the dealer lots at the same time.

The thing to remember is that Ford wants to sell Mustangs globally, many European countries tax cars on engine displacement. Turbo/non-turbo isn't considered so the Ecoboost will be the choice of budget minded Europeans who don't want to pay for the V-6 or the V-8.

I think they said the Ecoboost would have more HP. But they didn't say that they were going to purposely take away power from the v6! Lmao..... come-on Ford .... really ..
