Look into Tyler Mcquarrie, he used to run a Camaro in drifting. Don't know what he sits at weight-wise but he is running a full carbon or fiberglass body. I think most of the parts you can source from Anderson Composites. Lightweight doors, fenders, hood, trunk, etc.

No, if I had lots of money I would have bought a prestige zl1. This one was very affordable, plus I can customize the drivetrain on the way in.

I have personally seen a 5th Gen ZL1 auto weighing in at 3800 lbs at the recent Cadillac Attack with minimal weight reduction. Passenger seat & rear seat delete. Everything in trunk deleted except battery. Car also had drag pack, headers, and probably cats delete also.

I was amazed to see that amount of weight reduction with those few items removed.

^^^ Exactly right. 57-lbs for the passenger seat, 35-40-lbs for the rear seat, light weight battery, 30-33-lbs light weight front/rear crash bars, 50-lbs for light weight drag wheels. There are also a lot little things you can remove that help remove weight especially for track only.

Yeah sure...

But you gotta a long ass way to go to 3500 pounds from 3800. That seat and battery and wheel shit it the easy/obvious first 200-300 pounds. Then it's rough.

Solid motor mounts have to be lighter than factory rubber ones ?? lbs.

Tubular front bumper face bar , tubular rear facebar. -40lbs
Lighten rear decklid - lots of weight here -20lbs
Reskin roof to remove sunroof assembly -40lbs

Cut spare tire well in trunk, replace with flat metal -25lbs, per this site.
Race wheels -85lbs

Lightweight battery -25lbs
Optic Armor products rear glass -10lbs

Aluminum 1pc driveshaft -15lbs

Delete useless factory oil cooler -7lbs
Delete zl1 rear diff cooling setup/delete lines ? unknown Lbs.

goal to remove 80lbs thru various strategic inner structure reduction -80lbs
possibly going to ss suspension or coil overs to replace Magnetic ?? lbs
Remove supercharger for a turbo system and ls3 intake- Draw
Turbo system deletes exhaust system/fender exit- 60lbs *estimated*

Very doable. Some of the comments in here crack me up. I would for sure accept losing AC though...
