Edelbrock E-Force Kit on Gen 5 LFX?

Out of curiosity has anyone attempted to install Edelbrock's E-Force roots blower kit onto a Gen 5 LFX? From what I can see everything should bolt up but the tuning is the question. Or has anyone reached out to them to see if they would offer a kit for Gen 5 guys?

My last project car had a roots blown V6 and I absolutely loved it!

I contacted Edelbrock to ask if they had any plans to release a 5th Gen SC and the response was “no intention to do so at this time.” Given how old our 5th gens are now, I don’t see them doing it. Curious if it’s just a tune issue between the LFX and current V6.

Edelbrock E Kit

Proven S/C kit available from Overkill for 5th Gen V6 Camaro (centrifugal V3 S/C).
I have been running it for 5 years ( 2014 LFX) and no problems.
Price is comparable to Edelbrock E -Force Kit.

I personally prefer a roots blower to a centrifugal.

I believe the differences between the LGX and LFX would make use of the kit improbable at best.

Your right! Just did some research and GM totally changed the intake side of the heads on the LGX. Bastards! Too bad Edelbrock didn't make a kit with a swappable adapter plate so it couuld work on the various V6 versions. Would have massively expanded the product catalog with minimal changes to the overall kit. Bad planning on their part!

That would have made too much sense.

Looking at their numbers, it doesn't make much power for the money. I too prefer a root based inductions, but the centrifugal from Overkill is by far more power for the money.

I came across a thread on LS1 tech a while back where a guy was using these blowers with a modified intake manifold. Might be a solution for you OP without breaking the bank.

Just looking at it, I'd wager it's too tall. The V6 sits slightly higher than the V8 if memory serves.

Do you have before and after dyno numbers?

My 2011 LLT with 40k miles jumped from 269 rwhp with headers and a few other bolt ones to 412 rwhp with the overkill sc and and a little methanol and a boost a pump to keep the high pressure fuel pump from starving at full boost. 0-60 in 4.4. Haven’t been able to do a 1/4 thanks to Covid.

My upgraded stage 2 overkill kit is for sale if anyone is interested. The roots blower on the v6 does sit very tall, and for what it’s worth the Centri makes great power and doesn’t require custom fitment, and a copo hood( which does look awesome) roots style blower tend to make a little more torque but adding some gears to a centri equipped car would more then make up for the difference and you still won’t get that heat soak on top the motor
