It was the most fun drag racing we (me and wife) has ever had. Thanks Mlee (and Royal Purple Raceway) for providing so much fun. The wife ran her personal best at 12.2 @ 116 mph. She was smiling all weekend from the fun she had in the camaro. Between that and Pete taking her for a spin on the autocross, best CamaroFest in our books.

Great seeing everyone and having fun on the track.

Nice 2nd post Ted... You were having a blast for sure. Your face was so red after changing tires and running around I thought you were going to pass out.

Lol, Ted! I agree it was a super super great time!! Thanks as well to everyone who helped us as well as Merc and Willhe64 for the tech and all the questions! Too my coaches who helped me on the line from J-Rod6410, Jr. and Pat to all the camaraderie we had in the staging lanes with all the V6 folks! Definitely made new lifelong friendships!! I had great times off the line, from my fastest at .030, but with my LLT engine all the LFX's caught me at the end of the race... so looks like next time i'll bracket race! lol But I still had a blast, and I can't wait until next year!!!

That FSP tune

My reaction time vs my girl up there was the worst I had all the day and it happened to be my first run. I went on green and had a .5+ reaction time

Was nice meeting you by the way!

Thanks jbrown

That was my street tires 305/45/18" MT . If I would have ran the 17" they would have put me in the unlimited class.

Congrats Mr. Nasty!! You have a beast of a car. I was hoping to meet up with you somewhere during eliminations but my shredded rear COG drive belt prevented me from having that opportunity. We did have a great practice run though. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed it.

Following thread pattern.....

Camaro Fest RPR Baytown Texas-
Had a great time at Camaro Fest again this year.

The car ran great all weekend.
Knocked off a new Personal best of 11.96 on the first pass, 11.97 on 2nd-good way to start it off.

Fridays Bracket racing went pretty good. Ended up 4th, after drawing a local that had his stuff squared away and great on the tree. I prefer and am use to the Pro Tree lights, so I'm still cautious on the Full to avoid Red lights. We only had 20 minutes down time and I was heat soaked. Should have dialed it slower, but didn't want to break out. My launch RPM was off and my AITs were high.
Kudos to my competitor -he did a good job and was great to talk to in the lanes.

V8 NA Modified:
The Saturday's event faired better, although the DA weather was higher.
My reaction times in Qualifying and first 2 rounds were great for me at 0.0xs. Ran a few times with little cool down bringing my times down a bit, but I knew others had the same or worse temp issues.

Celebrated my just turned Odometer of 10,000 miles with a 1st place win in the NA (no power adder) Class. My final performance was average for my day's ETs and slower in RTs, but together faired 0.0078 seconds good enough.

Was a Long 1100 mile haul back home- but worth it to me for sure just to see the people and be part of the experience. Wish I had more time to check things outside of my pit- but pay to play as always.

Was great chatting with the members at the track and in the evening parties- great group from all over.
I have alot of video, will pull some pics out as time permits.

Thanks again to all the members and track staff that worked dilengently to put on another great show.

Good day to you all,
Tim

Man I hate to hear you shredded your belt. That not the way to go out in eliminations.
