Custom Flowmaster exhaust

Here is a video of the custom assembled Flowmaster axle back system. We ran 2.25 s pipe from about the back side of the axle to the 9 inch single pass Flowmaster single pass race muffler #108385. We welded the 4 inch tip right to the outlet. I haven't been able to get it back on a lift for pics.

Wow, that sounds more like a v8 than anything else I've heard. I'd love to see some pics when you get a chance.

I'm telling you, this thing is so deep it's incredible. It's sounds like a V8 Ferrari. I started with straight pipes but it was a little raspy. I'm going to wrap the muffler in ceramic blanket with SS sheild to remove the slight drone thats coming from the muffler casing.

Oh by the way, $220 for the mufflers and SS tips.

Yeah, I've already done mine with a magnaflow cat back but I like this enough that I might switch it up. i wonder how much a difference it would make having 2.5" all the way back already?

I hit that link you sent and still don't see anything with the part number you listed. I must be missing something...

could you have meant 325108?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLO-325108/

put up some pics of the undercarriage if you can. Even if its just putting the camera under the car.

Any resonation inside the cab?

Great job!

sorry about the wrong part # it's that little 9inch unit.
The mufflers were 2.5 but we had tobend a tite s bend to get the muffler in the spot it isn't seen. Most of the system I've seen, the muffler is where the old muffler is. this gives a very clean look.
There's a little drone so I'm going to wrap them in ceramic blanket and a SS shell. The drone is resonating from the Muffler case.
I wish I could get a sound clip at full throttle, It will make you sh.. in your pants.

Yeah, really need to try and get some hard take off videos with the camera more behind the car...

I really need to redo mine... got a lot of terrible echo from doing it in an industrial park! LOL!

Finding an area that's quiet, open, away from homes and not exposed to the law to get a good full throttle clip has been difficult. I taped a mic to the back bumper and fed the wire to the front but there was to much wind noise. I'll keep playing with it. Ironically all of this will come off once STS releases their twin kit.

That tight s-bend has got to be robbing some of your performance... but the result sounds awesome, I must admit. And being race mufflers, you really shouldn't have to worry about flow at all.

It's not as tight as it sounds. I'm going to try to get it on a lift today to get some pics. You're right, the mufflers are flow through with a small v-baffle. I think the open chamber muffler is what gives it the deep sound that usually is reserved for v8's.
I heard a GM catback on a SS yesterday and both my dealer and some others said they liked my system sound much better. I sure the owner of that car was disappointed when they picked up their car. It didn't sound much different than stock..
