Do Stealthboxes Suck? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I want to get some JL ones, but everysingle person I have mentioned it to (that can comment on the subject) has told me that stealthboxes are horrible, and that they have horrible subs quality-wise and your just paying for a box.

The thing is, I really really like the pass through of the back seat to the trunk, and I do use it often, so a big box in the middle would get in the way.

Im not so experience in this stuff, can anyone comment?

Don't waste your money..they are over priced. Go to ******** and look at their setups. Puts it on the side and looks built in. There are other post on here to look at for other products.

I have put a ******** stealth box in every camaro t/a I have owned I plan on getting one for my 2SS in a week or so from them, they always hit hard and look great!

jl have very high quality subs. people on here hate because they dont want to spend the money. if i were you i would buy the jl box and sub to be different than everybody else. who wants to have the sam thing as their friend?

jl makes great stuff i like the subs but i wouldnt spend the extra money on their box ive had ******** in 4th gens and worked good,

I have jl W6 sub in a ******** box. great sub just overpriced box with the stealth

The beauty of our 12" box is that it allows the user to use virtually any 12" sub you want, while keeping several hundred bux in your pocket. Who doesn't wan that these days? I mean you're not gonna get 400 bux of extra sound out of it. That money could be spent elsewhere on sound deadening, exhaust, suspension, etc.

We offer complete kits that include the sub, amp, amp rack, and all the wiring for less than you'd spend on a loaded stealthbox. We get guys all the time coming to us who are looking for a lower cost alternative with rock solid performance.

I installed the JL Stealthbox and it's just super. Make sure you use a good power amp. I installed mine high under the package tray between the speakers.

JL is a great product, you get what you pay for ...! althought for the money of JL there's better to be had.. look at Ultra Audio, Arc Audio -these two are the only ones left building, testing and using their own products. Most of the other stuff is "farmed" out to china...trust me I know first hand and seen it.
