ZL1 APR splitter on 1le?

Hey Everyone, looking to get an APR splitter for my car. Does the ZL1 splitter fit on the 1le without the rods? i saw a pic on here with it but i want to make sure it sits secure. If you guys have any experience that would be great. Heres the pic i saw.

Since the ZL1 front bumper comes to an aggressive point in the middle, it won't match up with the 1LE lip and would look a bit off.

I think the shape will work and the APR splitter is drill your own hole so it might be close for mounting purposes.

I wore the APR splitter before I swapped out to the ZL1 bumper. Looked good... before it was torn to shreds because I did not install the supports.

The stock front bumper has a gap that allowed the wind to squeeze between it and the splitter. This splitter adds triple digits downforce and it just tore the fasteners underneath, began dragging on the freeway... and by the time I stopped to check it, it was damaged beyond repair...

Lesson learned. The only way I'd not wear the support rods on an APR would be if I installed it on my ZL1 Bumper now - because of the flat surface of the bottom of the ZL1 bumper, it will not allow the wind to flow between them.

Here's a pic.

Thanks for the information! I believe the 1le should have a flat bottom surface just as the zl1 due to the oem splitter. Does that mean I should be good?

I believe you should be. Its not pointier or anything, so don't worry about that. Just make sure you add LOTS of either rivets or nuts/bolts.

Here's the one I've got and the one I'm eventually installing. I like the way the front has those pointy ends. From ZL1Addons.com

Hey guys still trying to figure this out. Apr makes one for the regular SS, the 12-15 ZL1 and the 14-15 1le. I have a 13 1le so I’m trying to figure out which would fit best since I haven’t seen an option for the 13 1le. Let me know if y’all have any suggestions.

You have to have the support rods.
