No need for a hood change, the new 2650 fits in the stock location.

Race Proven Motorsports has a YouTube video out of a CTS-V that just did the Kong 2650 swap and put down 1krwhp. I believe that is what is being mentioned above by "bayarea408". Pretty awesome.

Some things that nobody is talking about with regard to the new Kong 2650 (manufactured by Edelbrock)

Need to pay attention to the data log pics that were posted for this new blower.

Some interesting things about the data log pics........Boost is at 21.85psi. Outside air temp was 22F. Coolant temp was 160F. IAT2 was 117F. So, IAT2 was around 95 degrees over ambient. I can only imagine what those IAT2's would be had it been a hot summer muggy day.....To test this blower in the cold winter air temps seems deceitful to me. I want to see how it performs on the hottest most humid climate that the car could see, and with coolant temps at around 212F.... That's the real test. Most all superchargers will never have a problem with IAT's in the winter. 95 degrees over ambient is not good. Guys, please wait till hot weather test results come out before jumping on this. This is just my observation, not saying it's going to be all bad. I would never plop down 6 grand for a new blower that just came out. With the only testing being done in the winter.

Elsewhere, Fran said the heat was on in the shop and it was actually ingesting about 80 degree air.

I couldn't tell if IAT1 was being logged (which would give better accuracy). But ambient temp was. And it was cold. I'm going to reserve my thoughts on it till I see some summertime results
