Damn. Sorry ouch. That’s almost as much as a new seat.

Infield looks well kept, I've seen track where there is crazy ruts just off the track surface.

Garage door opener falls down - there reason loose items dont belong in a car on track day - they become projectiles.

3 Laps, same section of track.

Lap 1 and 2 - on the curbing, Lap 3 - in the grass!

Definitely a code brown!
Exactly what I was saying earlier about coming back on the inside of the strip.

I half agree with you. Air bags can save drivers but could hurt or kill driver.

That was why Takata almost out of business...

I doubt GM will want to cover it, even with the "track warranty", but we'll see what they say.
This right here.

The combination of going OVER the curbing, INTO the grass, OVER the curbing again and upsetting the car (up and down and bumping the rear sideways)... AIRBAGS.

Story says both side-curtains deployed? or was it just the driver side?...If both, I'll have to double my estimate to 4K....

The insurance I use is 10% deductible of whatever you valued your car at. In my case I get it for 65k. I would be out of pocket for this :(

Who do you use and what is the cost? I would anticipate that deductible makes the insurance affordable.. Most track day insurance I have seen has been prohibitively expensive IMO.
