I think they weigh less than 20lbs a piece. You can get the 18x9.5's now with some Mickey Thompson 305/45R18's and latter on down the road get the front 18x8" with a 225/60R18. Makes for a good drag setup that you can drive to and from the track even if the track is a long ways away.

Once you get your rear wheel/tire situation sorted out I would take some of your time slips, write what the DA is for them and take them with your dyno sheet to Pat G and say something is wrong. This doesn't add up. You should be trapping at least 120mph. I would say your trap speeds show that you are down on power in the 100RWHP range.

Now im starting to believe my tune might be off. Once I get everything situated I will try the track again and see what I do. I really dont know what to tell pat g. Like I stated before, the car runs fine, but if their is more power that can be made off the tune that I definitely would like it. Here is a link to a previous tune video and graph. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335459

OP all jokes aside if its the money try and find a cheap used set of the 555R. Maybe you can some for 150.oo to 200.oo and run them. At 500 RWHP you should run mid to low 11s. If not their something going on with the car. Even with the street tires your trap speed is low my wife car is all but stock her trap speed is 107mph.

Save your money and buy you some 18X10 and 305/45/18 MT 18X9.5 is a waste of money IMO. Am running 18X11 with them.

I haven't read the entire thread but something seems wrong with your trap speeds.

I was running similar trap speeds with similar 60' times, 1,000 miles on the motor, stock manifolds, cat delete pipes, U/D pulley, Zr1 cam, and stock tune, bmr 1.4/1.0 drop springs and stock suspension.... and I was unhappy with it, lol.

Supercharged, headers, Pat G tune, suspension mods.... you should be way FASTER even if you spin as long as you keep your foot in it.

If you're an auto shift points could be a major issue, if you're stick a BAD slipping clutch or it's time to do a compression check on your motor.

Ok. As far as the wheels go. I think I got those down to 18x10 rear & 10x8 fronts. With either mickies or 555r tires. As far as the tune part. What questions should I ask other than the car runs fine on the street but my trap speeds are low. I dont want to sound like im complaining because I cant get it together at the track or im just complaining. I want to male sure when I talk to him. I know what im talking about

If you get 18X10 you want the 305/45/18 MT. I was saying if its going to be a while before you get them see if you can find some cheap used nitto 555R for your 20" wheel. Also to save money don't worry about the front for now. Take care of the rears first.

Even if you try the 555R on your stock wheel you should be in the 11s not high 12s and no 13s at 500rwhp.

Its hard to find something at a good price with a 18x10 in the rear. 18x9.5 are easy to find. If thats the case. Really gonna save up and get some forgestar rims ha ha. Thanks guys for the advice so far

The 18x9.5 is fine. Just get those. No need for the 18x10.

Hell, if you are saving up, you can get welds from Jegs for less than $500 per wheel and be set.

For tires I'd go with either Mickey Thompson or M & H.

I'm likely going to have to piece mine together or wait until October when Factory Reproductions has their 18x11" ZL1/1LE style rims available.

Well my 18X11 forgestar with 305/45/18 MT only weigh 3LB more then the bograts with M&H DR.

Don't see going cheap with the rims for a $700.oo set of DR that may last a year

If your going to spend decent money don't see the point in sticking with an 18" wheel. Get a 17" weld.

Like to see the scale between a 17 " bogart and an 18" Forgestar being a 3lb difference bc I highly doubt that.
