The Chill car show - Tulsa (4/29 to 5/1)

My wife and I entered our 2015 red hot Z/28 in "The Chill " car show in Tulsa this weekend.

Imagine my surprise when a blue '13 commemorative hot wheels SS was first, they gave a Z/28 3rd! I was floored, as I can only figure that the judges didn't know their front end from their rear end. At least in the Corvette category, they awarded the best awards to the two new C7-R's that were at the show.

'Best' is a subjective term when judging. Honestly, it's kind of lame to enter a show with a new car expecting to be awarded something for it. Perhaps the Hot Wheels owner spent a little more time detailing, and less time oogling over his window sticker.

Any 1LE would have won. You bought the wrong car.

Poor sportsmanship. Its a CAR show. If you want to be first take your car to a track and not a car show...

I might add the attendance was lame, and if that's the way they work, screw those folks in getting me to bring my car back to their show ever again. It seems that sometimes its not what you drive but who you know; and the folks running this show were all Kansas folks.

You are getting mad over a 3rd??? Had the Oklahoma Camaro group show up with their cars, You probably wouldn't have placed. So be thankful....

Personally I like to see the best car representing a stock Camaro get the best award. Since there weren't any ZL1's there..I'll admit to being a little floored at getting a 3rd..over an L99 SS with a hot wheels sticker on it.

I cant believe you entered a STOCK Z/28 into a car show and expected a 1st place over a Stock SS with Badges, Factory HW Stickers, 21" Wheels, Custom leather and a bunch of eye appeal that most people wouldnt believe to be stock..

Shoot I'd have brought a miniature hot wheels Z/28 to display for them if I thought that would help.
Wouldnt have helped you one bit

Whole reason why I go to car shows is for people to see a new Z/28. I dont need a trophy. Best comment I over heard was a kid telling his dad that "how can he bring the car here? Its not street legal!". Also overhead a few guys arguing on if the car even has a radio, and how horrible the car rides. Those are my trophys.
