New "LS3" badges on the hood!

Just put these mirror stainless steel "LS3" badges on both sides of the hood bulge that I got from emblempros.com. They look real good on it, almost like factory.

If you're putting these on, make sure it's fairly warm outside or use a hair dryer to heat up the 3M adhesive and also make sure that the adhesive is centered along the back of the emblem so that it doesn't show around the edges once you get it on. I used a razor or dremel tool to trim the edges before since there was a little excess. You'll probably need a razor to initially get a corner peeling off of the adhesive since the red backing is not easy to remove otherwise. Also need to have it positioned exactly where you want it because once these go on, they're not coming off! I just used a ruler and lined it up along the top angle of each side of the hood bulge and measured a set amount back from the edge of the bulge near the windshield, spaced each letter out 1/8"

I like it a lot. How do you think they would look on a car with the hood stripes? I'd really like to try something like this with my car, but I've got the cyber gray hood stripes and am not too sure how the final product will come out.

Nice job

I think they would set off the stripes, the mirror finish with the cyber gray background, would definitely stand out more. I originally had the cyber gray stripes ordered, but decided for the clean lines. go for it!

I bought them too. They are quality peices. The only problem I have when I got them was the rough edges. You could see where the cutter started and ended. I took my dremel and smoothed all the edges. It will prevent the dry cloth or wax towel from catching on them.

No it won't. Mine made it through 2 car washings before the "L" broke on one side. I had to take them off. They collect dust too.

What? Do you have the same ones from emblempros? The ones I have are stainless steel and wouldn't break if they get caught with a rag. You must have plastic emblems.

Yes, they were the black plastic ones. Stay away from them! The SS ones are apparently much better
