Lol. That’s the plan! Wish I had a pic from someone who did it.

Back to stock
Well I put my exhaust back to stock. It’s too damn quiet now and I really liked the Legato most of the time but I really couldn’t deal with the drone.
I initially took it to a shop to swap it out and he said drone is just part of aftermarket exhausts. I ended up doing it myself and used 3” stainless steel exhaust butt connectors instead of welding them back on with the hope that I’ll find a different exhaust that I like. The butt connectors were a lot stronger than I anticipated and I didn’t hear or feel any leaks. I did paint the stock exhaust as recommended and it really looks a LOT better.

Looks good. And as Bo said, put some LT's on there and HF cats or no cats and the stock exhaust sounds really good. One of my Camaro friends did that and at least you can hear it coming now!! lol, and has a nice idle AND he says it doesn't drone.

Years ago installed ARH 1 7/8" LT, ARH 200 cell cats, stock exhaust pipes with the H crossover and resonators and the GMPP "touring" axle back. See my signature for engine changes. Mildly louder than stock though much louder when I stand on it. Important part is no drone and cabin noise is fine as my wife did not find the cabin noise a problem during the 380+ mile 1 way trip to a C5 event in Indianapolis.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I’m avoiding doing too much on this car like headers since I have a boat that sucks up most of my money, lol. It’s just irksome because now the car is back to being too quiet, almost like an electric car, lol. It sucks that I can actually hear the turn signal and power steering pump again.

I know it was a mustang!

I have very particular taste when it comes to my car's sound. Not too loud, not too quiet. I like a deep rumble at idle, but pretty aggressive at WOT. I'm looking for an axle-back because something came loose in one of my mufflers and it rattles, driving me crazier than any drone! Videos helped me decide what I didn't like (too loud), but other than that, I'm looking for a Camaro rendezvous to hear what others have.
Does anyone agree that I think the GMPP-Hooker, Borla S-Type and SLP Loudmouth 2 are in the same loudness range?

Not everyone wants longtubes plus the needed tune. OP if your just looking for sound with no performance gains go with a quality catback. Axleback are fine. But a good quality catback will last forever on your car.
