Guys this was my first new car every other pile has been a 100,000 mile dreamboat, im sick of fixing cars I've never up still this point even had a car that qualifies for a warranty it only my second loan I was unfamiliar with all the rules and stipulations of warranties, I asked for the proof of warranty paperwork and got it, the car had 7000 miles and its build date was a year and a month from my purchase date, inexperienced as I was I thought it was enough, guys I don't need to be tore up one side and down the other I get it now, im just looking for some help, I didn't want to worry about mechanical issues with such an expensive car, I could put a new long block in the car with a Saturday, a few beers, some bloody knuckles and 7 grand, but y should I have to I was led to believe I purchased a car with a warranty

Thanks for your info guys i appreciate it the state attorney General and the state dmv inspector are on it but its all somewhat new I had to explain launch control and point out emission bypassing because of the headers (things I learned after the fact) they haven't dealt much with this much so its tricky we're building a case to present to the judge that clearly shows the car was moded before sale which it was..thanks again

My assumption would be that since the ECU is a computer, that a tune would most likely leave a time/date stamp in the memory. How to recover that data? that I do not know

last time I checked into this kind of thing its GM that has to prove the mods caused the failure not the other way round, since the engines are capable of way more output than stock settings I would be surprised to see a tune blow a motor up,not saying its impossible just improbable.Ask the question, what caused the piston failure exactly,or what part of the tune.Just my two cents good luck

This is true from what I have read over the years.

I think you have the record for the longest sentences ever posted. Actually, they aren't even sentences since you don't even use a period at the very end. If you use a period occasionally, it will be easier for readers to understand your points. Trade in some commas and upgrade to periods now and then.

I'm still hoping you can nail the d-bag who sold you the car. Have you been battling this dealer ever since last summer?
