LSA vs AGP/Huron tt

I am on the fence on what to do and need some experienced peoples opinions. My car is a 2015 1LE w the LSA setup, stock ls3, meth, e85, full bolt ons, making 700whp through my RPM Stage 5 4L80e. Fuel system consists of the stock zl1 pump, JMS bap, DSX aux pump w flex fuel sensor and FIC 1000's. It is currently running 10.20's at 133, but I want to go faster. I have two plans in mind, and need some opinions.

1. Keep the LSA, port the blower/snout, add the ADM 8rib, pulley down, NW102 tb and see where that gets me. I suspect maybe 750whp?

2. Change the setup and go with the AGP twin or Huron Speed twin turbo setup. Both are very nice and Huron has been particularly responsive to my emails. No such luck from AGP, yet.

The car is only a weekend warrior, 1/8 and 1/4 strip car and I would eventually like to make 900-1000whp.

Any suggestions or experience in this is appreciated.

For your power goals, you won't be able to get there with the LSA. You would definitely need to go the turbo route or look into a centrifugal supercharger, which you didn't mention, but it would support your power goals, and probably be a lot easier to switch over to versus going the turbo route.

Either way, happy hunting...

I have an AGP kit, but from what I hear the Huron kit may be pretty nice as well. I switched from ECS kit to TT a couple of years ago. A centri would be your easiest route to meet your HP goal. Meaning you keep your headers put your stock intake on and bolt on the centri kit.

TT will have the largest growth opportunity in the big picture and they are flexible to adjust your power on the fly if you get an e-boost controller. They are more efficient at creating power because they don't need a belt drive sucking up power.

Either way if you have enough fuel you should meet your target goal.

How fast do you want to go? Why 900-1k whp?

Add a little baby shot of nitrous. Just to wake it up.

Isn’t having two turbos “dual power adders”?

Food for thought.

I don't have any emails or messages from you. Try PM on here.

You're up against the law of diminishing returns on that little blower. Every mph more at this point is going to cost you quite a bit. And once you build that motor, that little blower isn't going to keep up anymore and all that investment will be wasted.

You already have the right trans for super easy nines. We've got kits you could bolt on in a day with your 4L80 that are capable of over 1000whp. Ether build your LS3 to a 417 and stop about 1000whp or do an iron 408 if you want more power. Match it all up with the right stall and gear and go have fun.

I had my ZL1 pretty much where you are at/looking to go. 5" intake, 102, ported snout/blower, cam, 35% overdrive blower, headers, E85, 3" exhaust. I switched to Huron twin turbo and so far everything is good. The car is not 100% done due to my own trouble figuring things out. I would recommend it and do it again. Jon is awesome. I have dealt with AGP, I bought my fuel system from them. No problems with AGP either. But I would go with Huron still.

Went from K/B to Huron Twins couldn't be happy so far adding 2 step and tires see what happens Jon's customer service is awesome. Have got stuff from AGP so think either 1 is a good choice

Any of you guys know what the turbo kits weigh versus my LSA setup? I assume there would be a weight savings.

Probably a wash in weight. If you're 100lbs difference, that's about 0.100sec in the 1/4. You're asking what is the best poison. I'm going to take a swing at this. Once you obtain your 800whp, you're going to want 900. Once you hit 900, you're going to want 1,000. Just the never-ending power game we play. Turbos are the route for that insane issue. If you can really settle at, say 800, the LSA is going to be max'd with the additions you're thinking about adding. I've seen SC being topped with nitrous that really react nicely, and that little 75hp hit results in 150hp through the SC. Gotta have a good system though.

I agree, dreksnot. Wound up pulling the trigger on a lightly used Twin turbo kit.
