i did a keyfob upgrade way better now

Those last a lot longer than the original ones that came with the car. I've had mine about three years now. It has no signs of any wear.

Ok so the new one has a wider button. Can't just put your key on the new button. You also can't just put the old button and key in the new case because then there's a gap. Did you guys see this or did I get a different keyfob?

This is correct...I just did the switch. Just putting your old key will not work in the new fob, they are different size buttons. Took me a while to figure it out. Switched the internals and recut the key and all is good. Very nice fob. Cost a little more than just a switch but worth it.

I'm not understanding why the size of the button matters? Are you guys trying to swap out the entire metal switchblade assembly? Can't you just pop out the roll pin and swap out the actual keys?
