Quick wheel question
Got a guy wanting to trade my stock wheels and tires with $650 for a 18" race star drag pack. Said he just paid $3k for it, is that pricing right? I know welds are expensive not sure what race stars are. They are 5 spoke black

I think thats a good deal on your end. Im pretty sure race stars without tires are around 15-1800 so i could see that.

People are having trouble selling stock wheels and tires for $500. So, $500 plus $650 is $1150. Will be hard pressed to find a set of drag pack wheels and tires for $1150. I say, DO IT. Depends and condition of tires, of course.

The wheels are about $1k new tires are about $1200 new. He said they cost him almost $3k 2 months ago. Welds are like $800/wheel its crazy

Are these for DD or racing? When I am racing, I want the best equipment to run fast, looks mean nothing. DD would be nice to match.

On a side note, get a set of 17s for the rear.

The Welds I have for the rear are 17's. They would be for racing. I was thinking just using the front for the skinnies since I don't have skinnies and selling the rear. Or selling the whole set and getting the matching welds for the front. He just dropped the price to $400 with my set he is trading it in and doesn't want the dealer to get the drag pack so I am going to get them, just can't pass it up and it will help him out a little bit.

I say do it. I struggled to sell my stock wheels, sounds like you're getting a good deal too!

Good deal! I would do what you said. Sell the set, get some matching skinny's & possibly have some cash left over.

I run race star dark stars on all four corners year round.
18 by 8.5 in front and 18 by 10.5 in the rear , toyo255 45 18 fronts and street R's in the back 305 45 18 No complaints, you do need special lugs tho , shank style with flat washer ....old school Wish i would of saved more and got welds tho, way better quality that race star , and look better too

Well i bought em. Great shape. Think i'm gonna sell the rear wheels and tires. Take the front tires, sell the front wheels and buy a set of weld fronts
