I didn't like this game at first. I had the settings turned onto to hard. The steering was way too twitchy and the rear end was just too "floaty".

I lowered the settings a little. And now it's behaving properly. I'm starting to like the game. The issue I have though is that none of the car upgrades seem to do anything to the actual car.

probably the most frustrating thing is that your tires turn into basketballs that are pumped up with too much air when something goes wrong.

Please help! How do you get to tier 2? I am sick of driving these little ricers! Granted, I have not had a ton of time to play (Damn kids) but I have won more races than I have lost and am up over 10000 points. Maybe I am a long way off, but was just curious. I have my days off coming up and watch out. A little "me" time way over due. Thanks!!!

You move up the tiers by obtaining the stars from races. Each race has certain accomplishments you need to hit to earn the max amount of stars. For instance: if you get in third place, you get 1 star, 2nd gets you 2 and 1st gets you 3. Then, you get a star for each point threshold you hit within the race. And sometimes, there's an additional feat you have to accomplish that will net another star.

That happened to me too! Holding the brakes makes it far, FAR worse. My rear was bouncing up and down 2-3 feet in the air while I was moving 5 miles an hour. I was wondering if I'd unlocked a secret hydraulics kit or something.

hahahahaha. ya it sucks. i havnt played in a while though. been extremely busy with midterms, getting my drivers permit, was at the NASCAR race at Fontana, and a bunch of other stuff

Yeah, I figured out why it was changing the wheels on me...I had installed the upgraded tires or whatever and it was taking the stock wheels off.

The handling in this game is a lot different than past Need for Speed titles...

ya. when i upgraded my tires, i went to BBS and went with the black wheels with the red rim on the outside. looks sweet. i believe they are called LMR or something like that

It finally loaded so i am about to press start. Lets see if its as good as you all say.... the intro is pretty sweet!

Bought it a few days ago and love it. I found it at Best Buy for $39.99 on special for the PS/3. I've played a couple of the NFS games and have always loved them. This one is awesome!

Holy smokes... they price gouged the SS!

I am at tier 4 and enjoy the game, only now, you have little chance of winning a race. When you do the Manufacturers Comp, you can't control any of the cars. They are all over the place and it is really taking the fun out of the game!! Anybody else feel my pain, or do I just suck at driving? LOL
