I knew sooner or later this would happen....

Background: My car before (which I gave to my mother for Mother's Day this year) Sofia was my Honda Civic Hybrid, a much more narrow car. The rest, can be explained in pics:

I'm not mad, I'm not crying, I didn't kick my own ass, I didn't turn the shotgun on myself, I simply miscalculated my turning angle and skinned the car.

It's just a car, she's getting repaired as we speak. The body shop that did my stripes is doing the repair, and I am completely confident when I get her back that she'll be good as new.

What really helped out was the Clear bra. The top scrape seems like it tore the Clear Bra a bit, but didn't touch the paint. The other 2, they got to the paint, but they're light scratches it seems. Can't really tell until they get the Clear Bra off.

This is what insurance is for. But, I didn't even have to go that route, as my deductible is $500, and they are charging me $250 to fix her up.

I'm still bummed I don't have my car all day today though =/

Tough luck. Glad you have a good body shop you can count on.

Sucks bro. I hope your shop does as good a job as you're expecting. Keep us posted.

Thank you. They did a great job with my stripes. Everyone who sees them close up compliments me on them.

I know the owner of the auto/body shop, my whole family takes our cars to him, so he knows better than to do a sloppy job on Sofia, ja ja.

Thank you as well.

The car will be ready today, but I work this afternoon, so I'm picking her up tomorrow morning. I'll have the "after" pics for you guys.

ironic that you'd give me crap about keeping a car clean and ding free after you run yours into a wall.

good luck with the cheap-o repair.

Can't cry over spilled milk, sometimes we just get careless. Be good as new before you know it. I DO hate the idea of this happening though.

Sorry to hear. At least it isn't worst. You're right though. It's just a car! A car that's getting fixed too.
