newbie looking for some new rims
Hello - new 2SS-RS owner here. I am a rabid car guy and have modded many cars, mostly hondas, but had to have a big block chevy in my retirement. So here's my dilemma - I have searched here, looked at tire rack and all the other sites and can't decide what I want. Now I know these threads go nowhere if I just ask what you like, as we just get everything but here's my criteria that someone may be able to suggest some mfrs.
1. Don't need a 500 vossen, love them ,but I have a budget of 300 a wheel 2. LIke my std 20 painted wheels on the SS, but just want to look a bit diff but keep the big 5 spoke style 3. would not mind to do a machine face on a black wheel or a full polish alloy - it's a red car 4. want to use the 20 staggered tires I have now. 5. I don't plan on dropping..too many speed bumps in my condo.... pics welcome So got some names I can look at? - I like TSW - yeah I know, "the soft wheel" - but in florida - retired, good roads, less than 6K miles a year so I'm good with them... thanks so much...

TSW for weight and cost (20x9.0 - 23.5 lbs)
The factory reproduction wheels I've seen weigh basically the same as stock OEM (around 32 lbs). OEM ZL1 wheels are down around 26 - 27 lbs (which is pretty good for 20x11.0). But they are way to expensive. Nurburgrings look great and will increase your car's performance. The will also work with your stock tires (245s/275s) Here's a pic - Machined face on Victory Red. Car looked pretty sweet and it went 12.16 @ 114 mph (bolt ons) with these wheels. I may get another set with rain tires for the summer months around here. Then run my 18" setup during the race season (Fall - Winter). Last edited by SGOS252382; 05-27-2013 at 11:53 AM. |

I dont think it is lowered, I asked a dealer about that wheel viewer before only showing 22's. You and me have similar taste in wheel styles but I am after 22's and none of those wheels come in 22. I also like

Yeah, you really can't eliminate the "4 x 4 gap" look by going up in wheel size, it takes coils....
