Thanks all!! It's pretty stock now.. 2012 with 17k on it. Roto fab CAI, fuse pull, and that shift to shift is gone.

Thanks everyone!!! Here is a few pics of the car. Not big on the black stripe but I heard it's pretty rare.. I want to say 200 were made in that color in 2012

Yea I'm not fond of the stripe either, but it doesn't hurt the appearance. Congrats, that looks like a sweet ZL1.

I just wonder how hard it would be to pull off. I figure a heat gun would do it but any thoughts?

If you pull it off you will still see a outline of it in the paint I think. Maybe a good body shop could color sand it and get it out but you would have to ask someone in that line of work. I do not care for the stripe either and it would have to come off if it was mine. BUT that is a nice looking car otherwise.

Yeah that is what I was kinda worried about and why I really didn't want to do it myself.

If it were mine I'd rather have a ghost stripe from removal than the current. I like the concept on the original 1969 but also not quite on board with how it looks on 5th.
Also the gascap cover oddity would have to go if it were mine.
You will love the car if you are into musclecars. Mpg is the only downside if you are thinking of a long distance daily driver.

Yeah I'll have to wait to see how I feel about it person but the deal is done if the condition is verified when I pick up on Friday. He even said he will buy my way home if it wasn't as described. I actually kind of like the gas cap feature but who knows lol

I think the strip is fine. There are decal erasers that are basically a big rubber disc used especially for taking decals off. Check with your local industrial finishes automotive paint store. The pretty much use friction to rub the decal off and wont hurt the paint.

kinda like this.

Congrats on the car. I've had my 2014 for 2 months and already modifying the crap out of it, so beware, it's addicting
