19" Wheels no longer fit on SS according to TireRack

I just checked TireRack, and there are no longer 19" rim options for winter setups on SS's. Previously we used to have this. Anyone know of any rims with which this is possible (I have the rollerskate brakepads).

Cut off the roller skates and then you will have options.

Some 18s will fit if you simply change out the brake pads to get rid of the rollerskate weights. They likely updated their site to accommodate the worst-case example, those cars with the rollerskates.

Correct! You need to get rid of the roller skate dampers for most 18 and 19 to clear. Please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss.

Why would you want to remove the dampers? They were added to solve brake squeal problem.

Only if you want to have more wheel options, but you will probably have an occasional squeel. To some its worth it to get more winter tire/rim options.

I like the dampers.....they can come in handy if I ever loose a wheel weight and need to rebalance my tires

But even when the rollerskates had been out for sometime, TireRack still showed a 19" wheel option (no 18", just 19") - BBS, if I remember correctly. Oh well . . . I kicked the idea around too long and I don't think I'm changing it. I have my winter beater (which still gets stuck in the snow . . . )
