Don, I saw you were asking about Robert T a couple days ago. He was down at the Texas Mile, spectating, coaching and BSing two weeks ago. He looks good and I don't think he's missed any meals

Just saw this. I’m between .010 to .020 of bump steer now. I didn’t measure ‘stock’ before I made the changes initially. I’d say that is pretty good ;o).

On dips, bumps, or that occasional ‘lift’ in the front, it stays ‘straight’...

What made you decide that you needed to add the bump steer kit? Are you lowered more than normal? You seem to be about the only one on the forum that I can find that has adjusted for bump steer.

Lowered and the factory settings can be off. Having worked on suspensions a lot in the past, the geometry was alway important. I want to limit the changes as much as possible and the bump steer kit is what you need to keep the geometry within tolerance. When road racing, it’s very important - to me anyway...

I don't guess that there is anyway of actually installing a kit without the gauge to measure the bump steer.

Kinda but, it’s pretty much the tool I bought. You just make it from scratch and use a simple dial indicator. Coilovers will be very different than oem struts...

So, looking over 'Docs' thread (https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45165), I noticed he was using VMS forged aluminum lug nuts vs the factory 'steel'. I also notice he road races with them. The weight savings is over 2.5 lbs so, I ordered 2 sets (1 for street, 1 for racing) in gun metal gray:

Chatting with Mark (ABADZL1), he is helping someone install a prometh kit on a ZL1. Found out today that Rodney is no longer using the bigger check valve. He is now using the solenoid:

Once that gets in, I'll remove the large check value and install this. The brown/white wire from the AEM controller will activate it.

*Should be* a straight forward upgrade...

Test drove with the new lug nuts — long 1 hr drive at ‘highway speeds’, checked torque afterwards, perfect. I’ll do this after every drive just to be certain...

Waiting on the wing and the solenoid for meth kit. That is about the extent of any ‘major’ projects for me. Fix the scraped racing wheel — drive it!

Any changes after this (long term future) will probably be Racing Brakes rotors for the rear, so I can drop 12 lbs in weight. Fronts are about 4 lbs total but, that would be a long off change. Braille 21 lbs battery (https://www.braillebattery.com/index...atteries/b3121) to shave 28 lbs. Little things ;o)

Meth solenoid came in from ProMeth! Got my extra parts from Summit so, that is good to go (install this weekend). C7 Carbon contacted me and the molds are in production! Got an appointment for the trunk to be painted so that will be coming next.
