Any Alpine INA W900 reviews?
I'm looking at options and if I go with a head unit my first choice is presently the Alpine INA W900. Does anyone have this unit that would like to say a few words about it? Maybe audio quality, user interface, GPS fucntions? Any bugs or annoyances?

Walter,
Thank you, I saw that thread. I was hoping to hear from someone that had a unit in their Camaro for awhile. |

I finally got a chance to demo an INA W900. It has poor GPS software that lacks control and map detail. The display is low contrast and probably hard to use in sunlight. One plus it that the menus were very easy to use. The Kenwood unit that I looked at (a $1300 model) had better brightness and contrast but the menu system was clunky. IMO, these NAV units are not ready for prime time and certainly not worth the price.
Rather than dumping a grand or more in a gimicky DDIN nav unit I decided in the invest the difference in a quality amp and speaker system. Maybe I'll go the nav unit route when these products mature. |
