Roto fab install questions

I plan on installing a roto fab CAI on my 2014 zl1 and am wondering if you have to do a fuse pull or anything like that in order for ECM to relearn or the MAF sensor to reset. Also I will not be tuning the car.....for now.

You don't have to but it also won't hurt if you did.

You shouldn't have to do anything. Some claim pulling fuse #5 and #20 (am I right? I'm going off my old brain here) to clear the BLMs will help, but, I'm not 100% convinced it'll do anything that the PCM would do on it's own eventually anyhow.

That was kinda what I was thinking. I wonder if a guy should relocate the washer reservoir as well?

I think the ECM should relearn on its own , but I think I'll disconnect battery just to make sure. Won't hurt anything.

You can, but if you're not installing the "BIG GULP" air diverter, you don't have to.

Ok. I don't plan on installing the big gulp yet but probably will latter. I won't bother with the washer relocation till then I guess.

Just follow the instructions. It is a 45 minute job. No fuse pull, no battery disconnect...NOTHING. Enjoy! It really wakes the car up.

As long as you do not turn the ignition on before completing the install you should be fine. I did the Big Gulp and WW Relocate and turned the ignition on, not starting the car, just to make sure the WW was working fine. That gave me a code after everything was done, which eventually went away. Of course i thought we had did something wrong during the ROTO-Fab install. The video was very helpful.

Good choice. I had parts sitting in the garage before mine was delivered to the dealership.

The install is straight forward, just don't get overly anxious and rush it. I've had other cars stutter a bit after mods while relearning, but nothing with the ZL1 and rotofab.

Lol. Too late on the rushing it. I was installing it @ 6:00 so I could get it done before the wife woke up and saw what I was doing. I justified the purchase of the car to her saying "it will never need to be modded". Lol. I can't believe I said that with a straight face.
