6L80 Trans failure
Lethal Racing installed nightfury cam and other power mods about 3 years ago, also installed 3400 stall in factory trans.
About a year ago the trans clutches burnt up, Certified Transmission installed a "Road Ripper 2000", which just failed as well. They are now telling me they are going to refund money and send me a core, but they didn't want anything to do with it. Now someone is telling me to convert to a 4L60 trans, WTF... Does anyone have a suggestion? In Houston, TX area.

What kind of power are you putting out? What is failing on the previous transmissions? Was it the same thing both times? Could excess heat be a factor?

Third and Fourth gear clutch failure.
Yes, same failure both times. Still in shop, don't know what to do next...

GPI does rebuild like Rick Crawford using stock clutches and adding additional clutch to packs. Requires some maching, but holds up very well. Aftermarket clutches do not last.

So you are likely under 500whp right? The gearing in the 6L80 is totally on your side and a 4L80 or TH400 is likely going to make you slower. The key thing is the tune, not the build. A stock 6L80 tuned right would be fine in your car. Tune Tune Tune
