Custom Valentine One Radar System. Pics/Details Enjoy
Just finished the install on my Camaro and this was the first one we did. Not as easy as I figured it would go for several reasons. Mirror housing is narrow and locations to mount the controls were limited.
Mirror is not etched or sand blasted SEE DETAIL PHOTO of the CLARITY. Very tedious to perform at this level of quality. Lots of soldering and mods to make this work but I can duplicate the job for anyone who needs another perk for their ride! Here is what I did. Removed the Overhead Console and DELTED the Passenger Airbag light switch. No fault codes come up by removing this. I modifed the housing to install the potentiometer control and terminals and made a plastic lens to fill the hole. Polished it smooth and its perfectly centered, this took ALOT of TIME. The modified speaker is installed on the other side of the overhead trim in its seperate location. Looks factory aesthetically. Rear view mirror you will loose auto dim just to let everyone know due to the glass used by GM. We can do the auto dim version or LT flip version up to you. We can even supply one in exchange we have cores in stock as of today. If you demand auto dim the price $$$$ because I need to use a donor mirror for parts from a European car. Auto Dim shouldnt be a huge deal on this car since most have tints and the design of the rear windo is so tappered as it is. Valentine One main brain was taken apart, modified and installed in the rear headliner. Tested 100% signal so were good to go. Also have an option with a hand made cover for the middle of the rear parcel shelf which can be covered in leather or for the extra fancy guys you can have it done in Carbon fiber but your Carbon source. If anyone has interest send me a PM. I prefer to have manufactures/dealers contact me to add this to their product offering. Just easier on our end. If Moderators suggest I sponsor for such an offering send me a PM and I guess I can sell direct. More photos to come in the next day or two showing illumination and possibly a video if I can get one of the guys to come along for a ride. |

Thanks guys I am very anal when it comes to this and since I am usually doing these for new car dealers in the US for $200-400k exotics I got my process down to a T.
I choose Valentine because its one of the best units and having the system remote installed is great, easy to use, works and is effective. Been using the V1 for the last 14 years and never had an issue. Plus the remote install is trick and always gets made attention at shows and car meets. We have used K40 which are good and some other additional add ons such as blinders but that can be overkill. In the NY tri state what I got is perfect. Any questions please ask away. |

Super job... I would have chosen a V1 if I had a sweet install like that.
I'm installing Escort this weekend using mount to the right of mirror. |
