If you were to buy a NEW full sized truck today, what would you buy?

Looking to buy a new full size, crew cab with a short box.

What would you buy? Pro's and Cons?

Personally,

I lean heavily towards a GMC Elevation or Denali. I find the RAM intriguing but expensive. Not a fan of current Ford F150 exterior.

Let's Discuss.

Hands down, RAM. But depends on what you want to do with it. A few things I loved that set it apart from the rest but I used them constantly, RAMBOX (which has the bed divider and extender), multifunction tailgate (way more useful than the GM tailgate) and active air suspension.

I found the GM and RAM to be pretty close in pricing option per option.

In my opinion, the RAM is worlds above the others in quality, comfort, ride, and interior noise.

Z71 silverado. Love the look.

Drove a Z71 suburban 38hrs from FL to WY. Had zero complaints with the vehicle. So practically the same thing as the silverado. Plus I like the GM power plants. 5.3 or 6.2 with a A10.

I just bought a loaded out Titan pro-4X and have been pretty impressed with it so far. Very good power from the V8 with still decent mpg. I was down to a F150 fully loaded XLT or a moderately equipped lariat or the Titan. All the rams I looked at didn't impress me with regards to fit and finish. I didn't bother with any of the gm offerings as I'm done with gm to be frank. FYI my equally equipped Titan vs the f150 and ram was about 14k cheaper. Same vs gm when I was just messing around one night building a 1500.

Lots to think on, I really appreciate everyone's feedback.

I will give another look at RAM.

Am considering the Silverado and Sierra. Would love a Raptor, but man are they outrageous in price.

Never had luck with Dodge or their glass transmissions. I’m looking at the Sierra 2500 & F250 currently.

F250, no brainer. Power Stroke is cheap and easy to unlock, costs thousands to do with Duramax. Dodge has always been a step behind in quality for as long as I’ve been alive. Just my 2 cents, which means nothing lol.

I’m just poking fun at ya..! Sorry…sarcasm can be difficult to transmit over the internet.

Also, NO WAY. The TRX will lose a suspension piece over the first rut it attempts to traverse.

99% of TRX and Raptors made will never see an off road & I bet a good sized majority will never see mud. I'd love either one but won't pay that much for any vehicle.

Personally I'm not much of a fan of any of the new trucks. I'm sticking with my '17 F-150. It's a 5.0 and tuned. Run E85 and have had no problems other than the standard rear differential leak. But if I had to buy a new daily truck I'd stick with another 5.0 F-150. I don't have a turbo on a trunk engine - it needs to be NA.
