This.

Most GM cars have been like that for over a decade. The USDM speedo's read 0-200 and the Canadian Spec cars read 0-300 but the speedo is digital and you can switch units.

So yes the digital and analog are synced and both read in MPH. I installed a Corsa CAI and Stainless Works long tubes with high flow cats, flowmasters were already on it. Had the guys at Complete Street Performance Dyno tune acheiving 420 rwhp / 419 ftlb rwtq. Wow what a beast.
Does anyone have any experience with the Chevy performance ported heads and hot cam set up vs. Trick Flow top end kit? My target is 500 rwhp NA. Any pointers would be graciously appreciated.

Gonif I totally agree. Not sure what the Chevy Engineers were thinking when they came up with a 300 MPH speedo on a car with 426 factory engine HP. I guess just because they could.

36 million vs 326 million LOL!!!

For reference, state of California alone has more people at 39 million.

Then there is the climate zone issue........

I don't think you understand my response. What I mean is that more Canadians will try to sell their cars to an American because you stand to make more money after the exchange rate.

The reason it goes to 300 is because it was made for the Canadian market. We measure speed in Kilometers Per Hour not Miles. 300Kph=180mph. However, as it was explained you can switch between KPH and MPH. That's why your gauges made for KPH look silly when you use them for MPH.

America needs to get with the times and switch to Kilometers, lol.
