Hey, that first pic is really cool... Have you ever seen a "water test" on one of those? They crank it up like that and dump about a pool's worth of ice water into it to see if it stays lit. Usually pretty crazy footage...
On a side note, one time we had a flame out on one of the Lycoming L55-T11's on the C55 turbine boat. It blew so hard that one of the panels on the steel roof 30 feet up buckled and came apart. From outside it looked like someone opened a tin can. After that we always pulled the turbine boats out before test firing...

It would be nice to at least have it still run for C5Fest2

No, it was unexpected, but here is the boat right after we got smart and pulled it outside...

I drive her every where I can, but my time is limited. The weather is starting to change. She needs a good bath and wax then she will only come out on the nice days. It's going to be a long cold winter this year. :(

Glad to hear that you drive her when possible. Winter is always longer than you want...

Here is shot of the whole boat out by Daytona.
Normally the fuel controllers were set at 7,200 hp; but have had it set as high as 8,400 hp
Sure glad the owner was paying for the fuel...

Ha - It's not that hard. I only have about 20 dollars in my pocket right now...

One thing to remember is that life is a journey, not a destination. No matter what you do, if you take pride in it and do the best you can, happiness follows. I rate success in terms of family, faith and friends. Have had some luck in business but the best part of that has been able to meet new friends and some of us even get to work together. That's the coolest part. Anyway, glad you enjoy the build.

Hey B, that boat sounds really good too! I got a tournament this weekend and need a boat with a good holeshot. Could I borrow that?

Funny enough, before I even got to the next post, I was thinking the same thing....

That is one heck of a statement and belief. Now if only more people had the same mindset.
