Sorry to hear about your experience. That sucks. Even worse that the dealership hid that fact from you, and even listing it as a (certified pro owned vehicle).

I know of several people who have been burned by Carfax. Carfax has been sold to the masses that under the guise that if it shows ‘clean’ then it’s just that. Clean.

What people fail to understand is that Carfax only shows the accidents that people have reported to the DMV.

If there’s an accident, and ‘joe schmo’ takes it to friend to have frame damage ‘fixed’, and then goes and sells it, there’s no report of frame damage. If Carfax is ran, it’ll show the Carfax as clean, and never having been in an accident.
