the drive shaft shop 9 inch rear with 457 gears. i like the raked look of the 1970's, so i'm glad this motor is 70 pounds heavier.

Can you match a supercharger to that motor in it's unchanged crate form?
I'm curious how much all this costs and what special things need to be done other that throw it in, because I was dreaming of doing the same someday, or something like it.

I guess they changed the specs somewhere along the way. I remember reading two different specs and it got confusing. Maybe the article I read came out before they actually released the motor. Good thing it's 11:1 compression, it'd be better if it was 10:1 with the supercharger, but all with that HP/TRQ I don't think it'd matter. What else do you have to do to the car to handle all that ? I wonder just for curiousity what that supercharged LSX 454 will get for fuel milage. I know we don't care , but I'm curious.
When is it going to be done? I'd like to take a drive down to see it ! Seriously...

Actually, I'm only a couple of hours away from that shop and was thinking maybe I could go buy there and check it out if I have the time and it was still there like in the middle of next week or something.

Well I have to say this whole build is going to bring plenty of smiles. Love the 457 rear end. You will be going for 5th in the quarter mile fo sho!
Any thoughts about stroking it before you slide it in...Maybe go ahead and take it up a notch and get some of that famous early torque numbers. I read all the way thru and had not seen it answered or even asked. What blower are you going to hit this with? Cog Drive? OMG I am so green with envy. Go Man Go!
