CAM INFO NEEDED..
Alright guys, I am ready to cam up my Camaro, I need to find out from you folks, which cam package you recomend for my 2011 L99 SS. I looked at packages from Vengence racing and also from Jenetty and would like some advice from you guys who have cammed your rides. I am looking for a cam with a nice lope to it and also create some decent power gains. Thanks in advance for the help.

Lol, everyone's just gonna recommend what they have. Just keep in mind that with an aggressive cam you'll have to change out valve springs at about 20-25k intervals.

^ This is the same thing I ask myself, I think I'm going to stay VVT though. Texas speed makes a pretty good heads/cam package for the VVT. I already own a circle d 3k converter.

I have a Mast SS VVT cam. I put down 463 on 92 octane.
I just installed a comp 229/236 on a 113 (ls3 swap) on a car. It put down 436. What I saw was close power and tq up to about 6000 rpm where my cam ran away from the other one. And I firmly believe its because of the vvt. His cam has .62x lift and mines only .588/.607. Mine is a 230/244. The only differences in the cars are he has tsp cats, I have none. He has dual 3" exhaust with an x, I have a stock ls3 catback. Same converter, gears, and on same dyno. |

Cool, that's the cam package I was looking at, it seems to be the most popular one. I want it to sound mean and nasty, like the car should be.

Its a very popular choice. some of the other noted shafts are the TSP 236 and the nightfury. Not telling you what mine is! ;-) I like to be one of the only ones with this gargle puke and choke! hehehe

Do you have a YouTube clip? How long did JRE take to do it?
