not too worried about the bleeding process. I've bled out many brake systems in the past. Just wondering if there were any specific things that might be different due to the ABS etc.

Mr. brownstone, if you have to ask the simple questions regarding brakes, then maybe you
should leave it to the professionals. Brake bleeding is a very simple operation.
Maybe you should get those crossed drilled brake hoses from kaleco.

You will need new brake hose fitting gaskets (the little copper washers). Also, GM recommends replacing the caliper bolts. On reassembly, torque the brake hose fitting bolt to 30 lb ft. The caliper bolts get tightened to 33lb ft + 90 degrees (front), and 30 lb ft + 90 degrees (rear).

Help!

When you bleed the brakes do you have to pump your clutch at all since the clutch and brakes share the same reservoir?

So what's with the GTO clutch reservoir mod to separate the two?

You are in error sir. The Gen 5 Camaro uses a single reservoir for the brakes and clutch.

OP-Unless you operate the clutch with an empty reservoir and/or you disconnect the line at the slave cyl., you won't need to worry about the clutch.

Nope. As Li0nel1234 mentions there is a mod to install the clutch reservoir from the G8 to keep clutch dust from contaminating the ABS brake system.

Never heard of a shared reservoir! I'm ganna have to look at this sucker in the daylight tomorrow! That does bring up an interesting bleeding situation, my advice would be do not let air into the system if you can help it. Wrap the ends with those small rubber water balloons, they are like a buck from the dollar store. May be over kill, but you don't want your reservoir bleeding out, and you especially don't want your abs and tracking control getting air in it. Not sure if you can bleed the abs or the tracking control, but I wouldn't got there! I've been waiting for the cold weather so I can put the car up for a few days in the cold and then remove the calipers to get them powder coated, prolly be out of commission for at least 3 days, so the rubber balloons should keep the fluid in , and most importantly keep the dirt out! I will take pictures when I do this, seems to be a common question.
