I would think a polish that has UV protectant in should be fine .Like Zaino

I would think waxing the matte black stripes could present a problem. If nothing else it will surely change the luster by adding gloss which will be nearly impossible to get even. Do you think this will work in Phoenix? A lot of sun here year round. I plan on parking my baby in the garage, however I will need to be out in the sun with her quite often. I'll have to look through some parking lots to see what does happen to stripes out in this Phoenix sun.

I happen to like the matte black stripes on the VR, however with this sun, I may need to look into having them painted on.

Anybody in Arizona have problems with the sun on vinyl stripes?

I Zaino'd my flat black stripes... it does make them darker...permanently.

I recommend it... it adds protection to them...and darker is better for black IMO. If you don't put enough on them they will streak and look like crap though...so you need to use a lot more than you normally would on the paint. Z-2 is what I used and they look great now.

I just talked to my salesman yesterday and he said the stripes won't last here in Arizona. He said I was better off getting them painted on. I've lived here for 8 years. I have not noticed what the sun does to the vinyl stripes. I guess I'll be looking for a good paint guy to help me.

Nothing lasts in that Az sun , is the car going to be constantly exposed to the elements?

It will be garaged, however I will need to take her out for many hours in the hot desert sun. I don't want to have my stripes crack or shrivel up.
