I've tried many of these over the years, including the Meguire's gels, but found those to be too messy. I'm a big fan of the Meguire's NXT spray--quick and easy to apply. I usually let it soak in for a bit, then wipe off the excess with shop paper towel, which minimizes spin-off (not much of that to begin with, but still a little) and dust accumulation. Several days later, another wipe-down of the tires with another shop paper towel, and it still looks shiny and great!

I was disappointed the first time I put it on the tires (brand new tires). The first coat dries up after about a day and looks good and clean, but drier than I wanted....

So......I added a second coat a few days later and the tires have been shining for 2 weeks now, and going strong...

Because of this site (specifically this cosmetics section), I have become a Zaino customer for life.

Use Maguiars Tire GEL to coat the tires and drive it. Lasts a a long time and dosen't slig. If you are go to a car show use Maguiar's Hot Tires spray. It has an adjustable spray pattern and an extreme wet shine. Just wipe your tires down before you leave the show because it slings like a mutha!

Check out what your dealer is using in their detail area, I got some of E&M's tire dressing from my dealer last year. this dressing lasts for weeks, you can never go wrong with zaino or meguiars.

What he said! The Zaino tire dressing is the cleanest I have ever used..... most others leave a sticky residue that gets harder and harder to produce a clean shine or is a basket to wash off every time. What I have finally been doing is not scrubbing the tires in order to leave the manufacturers impregnated substance which protects the tires the best, Iread it includes sunscreen. I wash the tires regularly with the same soap I use on the car body which happens to be Zaino wash ! It doesnt leave the tires as shiney but a very clean black look which is appealing to me anyways.

Just my maintenance philosophy guys!

If you are looking for a "new rubber" look. Something more like a satin finish. Not greasy or shiny. Try Meguair's NXT Tech Protectant. It also works perfect for rubber hoses in your engine bay.

I've been using the Black Magic matte finish lately and I really like it. It give your tires a deep black natural look, doesn't sling, and doesn't turn brown after a while. It's also not sticky so dust doesn't stick to it. I do like Meguiar's too, but it's a different look.

Look in my signature for link.

Everything Gel wise from ArmorAll to Meguiares have always create a small amount of sling / splash on the fender wells and will collect dirt easy... You need something that is dry to the touch that will not let dirt cling to it.

Adams VRT product is amazing, has a really dry feel to it once applied and doesn't splatter / sling what so ever. Warning: Adams VRT will not make the tire "shine" so to speak, because it isn't a gel.. but itwill give it a really flat black look as if you just bought the tire.

I am an Avid user of Adams Products after even using Zaino products for 2 years I can prove Adam produces better products and even guarantees them all by 110%.

Tire shine

I think I've tried all the tire shine products on the market. I agree with my other Camaro Brother from Mobile, Alabama. I think the best one is Meguiar's High Gloss/High Shine Tire Gel. It works the best and I apply the gel with a small sponge and wipe off the excess with a rag. I then drive my car around the block and wipe off the tires again with a rag.
