Florida driver in particular get lower mileage out of there tires. The material that they make there asphalt out of is particularly abrasive. Also many of the roads are cement which is very abrasive.
You also dont drive your car like its a Prius either..

You should find that your Nittos are a good tire for you. After all, most options are better then the Pirellis.
We have done a TON of testing with tires on these cars. They tend to be quite unsettled in the rear, especially going over expansion joints and pavement change while turning.
If you need real good tire advice on your next set give us a call. We have a TON of tire testing miles under our belts.

Seeing as I still own a house in Yulee and spent the better part of four years in Jacksonville and the surrounding area, allow me to offer this for your consideration; have you ever personally used the tire brand? Are you basing this off of speculation and some bad reviews on the internet? Are you materialistic and care what other people will think about your tire brand of choice?

Do some research on the company itself, check the warranty offering and tire quality grades, ratings, and guides of the DWS's and compare them to others.

Continental is a quality brand, even if the name itself isn't flashy or particularly contemporary.

I had them on my 2010, and were plenty pleased with them. Only had about 12,000 miles on them though before I traded my car in.

Too small for comfort sometimes. Got a house in the Timber Creek subdivision that I rent out. I miss it. I miss Florida for that matter.

I have been running Nitto Invos since I went to 22's ... serious traction issues at my HP/TQ.

Fitted Vredestein Ultrac Sessantra recently ... unbelievable difference!!! They hook up wayyyy better ... and as someone else said on the forum, you can feel when they are about to break loose ... so you can control the power better.

Also a lot smoother and quieter than the Nittos ... doesn't feel like I'm running on rubber bands any more.

Can not recommend them highly enough!!!

I'm definitely going to be fitting Vred's to my wife's MDX too.
