The strongest as far as block strength will be the Iron-based LSx, but that is only a block.
I have never heard of a GM OEM production motor called a LS7-R (unless it was from the American Le Mans cars). As far the other two (the only complete motors you listed) the LS9 is the most powerful.

From your list obviously the answer would be LSx, since its only a block and not a complete engine you could potentially build it to fit your desires.
The LS9 would have the highest power output if thats what your after but is essentially the same engine as the LSA only w/ a bigger supercharger at 2.3L compared to the LSA's at 1.9L The LS7 R you list I'm assuming is the engine out of the C6.R race car and to my knowledge isn't a production engine you can buy. But if you wanted the highest NA powered LS engine, the LS7 would be the way to go I guess. If you just want higher hp why not just mod the stock LS3?? I mean it starts out at 426hp stock which is a pretty good starting point w/ great potential imo. None of these engines can be had in a Camaro from the factory and all would be extremely expensive to buy outright esp. w/ buying a brand new car unless you have tons of cash. Or are you just wanting bragging rights or something of that nature? |

I will keep the LS3 in there for a couple years maybe lightly mod it, but an little bit further down the road im looking at putting basically the fastest GMC motor i can in it and heavily modding it. Just trying to get a picture of how much thats going to be. But in a couple years im sure they will have came out with a whole nother bigger stronger motor haha

The LS9 has the highest horsepower out of all @638hp. But it'll be difficult to get any more power out of it.

ok so i guess a better way to state my question should be, which motor has the potential to be the fastest in the 2010 camaro?

Heres a good place to start for general LS info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_LS_engine |

so even tho the ls9 is basically maxed out it will still be faster than you could mod a ls7 to be????

Yeah but what I meant by that is that you wouldn't be able to do much to the actual engine. Of course bolt-ons will still make more power but, since it's already a FI engine there's not much else you can do.

Is the LS9 and LSA just the LS7 with FI?

Actually, I was under the impression that they were based on the LS3, not the LS7. Thicker block walls out of the 6.2 than the out of the 7.0, for better strength. Or something like that.
