Well I just realized that the Boss didn't come with a standard torsen differential, it was only an option along with the Recaro seats. The standard differential is preferred for street and drag racing but the torsen is best for any track duty. Looks like it would be $1,300.00 for the dealer to upgrade. Decisions, Decisions

Personally, it must have the optional combo of Recaros/Torsen helical diff. The more robust rear plus the track-focused seats is worth it IMO.

I would love to get a 2013 BOSS. I was considering one before I got the 1LE.

I like the the 12 Boss stripe package but the 13's car looks way better to me . Would be nice if you could have the 12 stripe package on the 13. But I love everything about the 2016 GT350 and that would be the one that I would need to get. But Will probably have a big markup price .

I really don't care for the 12-model. IMO the minor upgrades on the 13 really brought the car out, similar to my opinion on what Chevy did with the 13/14 Camaro the minor updates worked.

I had thought about a 1LE instead of the Boss but the wife doesn't care for the 1LE, she thinks the Boss is much better looking, so who knows.

I really enjoy trips to the dragstrip but wouldn't mind giving a track such as VIR a try. I keep coming back to the Boss Mustang as the car that would offer the best balance for the strip/track and street performance.

I have a chance to purchase a like new race red boss in perfect condition and low mileage for mid 30s, as these cars seem to be holding their value very well I am tempted.
I offer you your own advice...

Do yourself a favor and trade… for an automatic ZL1, treat it to full bolt-ons, and go hunting for this big-game cat.

The Boss is a really nice car. Let us know if you pull the trigger.
